Equipment needed:

The music, seemingly composed for the workout, follows the sequences of the moves, increasing in tempo as the workout intensifies, and helps keep you in synch with the counts and steps.

Repeat-worthy Moves:

Speed bag punching (17:41)
Double-punch and lift sequence (21:30)
Pull, kick, and punch sequence (24:00)
Crunches (50:12)

Coaching:

Billy will motivate you through the burn, telling you to believe in yourself, focus, and remind you that it takes hard work and dedication to achieve your goals. He also guides your form to isolate muscle groups and avoid injuries.

Mood:

Great for when you want to release some aggression and go on a journey of digging deep to get through a challenging workout.

Summary:

This workout is not for beginners. I recommend doing some of his other workouts to learn his basic moves before taking on this advanced class. It took me many sessions to complete the entire Advanced workout in synch with Billy and his squad. Let’s talk about his squad - they became my inspiration especially Shellie*, because unlike Billy, they do all the moves. You and the squad will grunt and scream through it but it will be one of the most satisfying workouts you’ll do.

Find the fashion!

You can rock pants in primary colors like Billy, Shellie’s shorts and bra set and although I couldn’t find a crop top tank like Billy’s, I did find this high neck pec-revealing tank.

Etc.

I found this gem of an article from the height of the TaeBo craze in NYC describing the fans, the appeal, and opinions from martial artists.

*Shellie Blanks Cimarosti is Billy’s daughter!
